Dear Readers,
Today I’m taking a break from the usual proceedings because there’s something else that I’ve been wanting to say for a while now. And that is a big, heartfelt THANK YOU to those of you who come back each day to read this blog. I’ve been surprised and delighted beyond words to find that not only are there regular readers, but also those who (and this has to be the most thrilling thing of all!) are inspired to try out the recipes. I can’t explain it, but the thought of families out there who sit down to eat a dish that came from this blog – there’s a real sense of having touched people’s lives in a tangible way and honestly, it’s almost as good as being able to cook for them myself.
And so, I’m giving away the rather adorable kitchen things pictured above, to one lucky reader, as a thank you gift. I love the set of little silicone spatulas and brush – in fact I’ve been so tempted to use them – that I had to go back and buy myself a set! And I was intrigued by the silicone loaf pan because the base is reinforced. No more floppy silicone cake pans! Anyway – back to you – I’m going to treat each comment that I have received from 2 February as an entry for the draw to win the thank you gift. I’ll draw the lucky winner on Wed 2 March, so there’s still time to post comments. If you aren’t able to comment, please feel free to e-mail me, and I will enter those in the draw as well. I’ll post the winner’s name on the blog and contact them via e-mail. I’m happy to send the gift anywhere in the world you’re reading this from, so do not let distance deter you.
I’d love to hear from you, and to hear something about your own kitchen adventures. Do you enjoy cooking or is a chore? What areas of cooking would you like to explore? Is there a cooking method, a particular dish or cuisine that you’d like to hear more about? Have you tried a recipe from the blog, and how did you like it? E-mail me at jchansmith(at)hotmail(dot)com. (Replace the bracketed letters with the usual symbol/punctuation)
Once again, thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
Jo

Tried the Vietnamese pho from the link you set up…family loved it and found that it tastes like Gu Bak Mee from Catcity. Had another round with it but this time with kolo mee in it. Hurrah! Fabuloso!
